So characteristic of the Louis Philippe style, this superb pair of beds exudes an elegant, yet unpretentious impression. Crafted from fine imported mahogany, the beautifully molded chapeau gendarme crest of the headboard has been topped off with a handsome cartouche finial. The oval panel of the apron is flanked by two curvilinear raised panels, whose lines are echoed in the molding below. The side rails boast the same decorative treatment as the apron, providing a cohesive look, while the legs have been carved with a cartouche that complements that of the crest, terminating in padded escargot feet.
Pending conversion to a king size bed, the side rails are to be lengthened to except a king size mattress.
