Cast from solid bronze, this fender stands apart from the rest, having been styled during the Art Nouveau period with decidedly neoclassic and Empire influences, blended into a new style that boasts stylized lions on each andiron with laurel bordering across the entire width of the fender centered with an acanthus flourish. Found at the same time as the fireplace mantel below left.
