Location: Dallas

Basically a one-door buffet, the confiturier was originally conceived as a storage place for jams, jellies and preserves, hence the name. This example hails from Normandie, and was crafted and carved by hand from the local white oak. A flower basket and wildflowers combine with foliates to adorn the façade. Surprising storage is inside the cabinet and drawer. Steel hardware completes the look.
Circa 1890s.
