This no-nonsense design has been used for centuries in the rural areas of France, and features solid planks of thick French white oak used to top a sturdy frame with posts of the same wood serving as legs, connected with an "H" stretcher mortised into the legs for generations of daily use. Intriguing pull-out hanging rods were used to hang towels, as tables such as this were also used to prepare the meal, as well as serve it!
