This handsome 19th Century Renaissance Library ~ Conference Table, also great as an Antique Conference Table, was hand-hewn from dense, old-growth quarter sawn white oak to last for centuries!  The design features six massive barley twist column legs in clockwise and counter-clockwise spins, all connected with stretchers worn from centuries of use, but still as sturdy as the day the table was made!  Massive plinth blocks carved with acanthus plumes connect the legs to the stretchers below, as well as the wraparound apron above.  With an incredible effort of artistry, the apron sections are all intricately hand-carved with a repeating foliate demilune pattern trimmed with a reverse shell demilune molding along the base, which is further accented with scrolled & carved corbels transitioning into each of the upper plinth blocks.  Pegged mortise and tenon joinery not only ensures centuries of enjoyment, the technique was handed down from generation to generation and adds an inimitable Old World touch.
Painstakingly and gently stripped using our proprietary non-petrochemical, non-toxic method that retains the natural beauty and patina of the wood!
