Featuring a superb transitional style that was an expression of the classic Louis XVI genre as interpreted during the Beaux Artes Period, this stunning 19th Century French Neoclassical Center Table styled in the manner so favored by Louis XVI, features an original ivory painted finish that has achieved a lovely patina further enhanced by the judicious use of gold highlighting. Spiral fluting, upturned lotus blossoms, the fletching of the arrows in their quivers, rounded rosettes on the corner plinths, and exquisite mated archer's bows forming the stretchers all make a perfect combination of form and grace. What else to top it all off but a luxurious marble, contoured and beveled to perfection to finish off the masterpiece!  Also ideal as a Library Table~
Circa 1895.
