The equivalent of a 19th century weather center, the barometer & thermometer told one much about the current and impending weather if one knew the signs. This elegant rendition was produced in Holland for export to France, being found in the internationally renowned wine-producing mecca of Bordeaux. It features sculpted, pierce-carved grapevine motif surrounding the entire affair except for an elaborate ribbon at the top. Surviving in exceptional condition, it will make the perfect wall adornment for your favorite room!
