Antique Dutch Tea Warmer with Delft Tiles

This charming tea kettle warmer was originally filled with coals from the fireplace to keep the tea warm on frosty winter mornings. Wonderfully adaptable as a jardiniere, it was crafted from solid European white oak then inset with hand-painted ceramic tiles from the master artisans of Delft, Holland. Turned legs provide sturdy support, being purposely splayed to accentuate stability. Adds a splash of color even when it's not displaying a bouquet of flowers or greenery!
