Location : Baton Rouge

Ubiquitous in Provence since the dawn of history, earthenware pots from the region developed their particular style over the course of time, with the classic shape, opposing handles, and glazing on the inside overflowing to about half of the outside. The lower half of the exterior was left unglazed and porous to allow a natural cooling effect. Such vessels were used to store a wide variety of cooked and preserved foodstuffs, making themselves especially indispensable during the winter months. Perfect for adding a Country French touch to your decor!
