Elaborately detailed floral garlands & swags with ribbon and urn motifs adorn the facade, which surrounds the original mirror (stamped extra silver on the back in French!) and an exquisitely painted original oil on canvas depicts a young courtier wooing the object of his affection with a gift of a bird in a cage, considered an opulent gift during the Napoleon III and Beaux Artes period!
