The bold Baroque and rococo carvings on the crown of this antique French mirror are mimicked by the hand-beveling of the original mirror with the frame featuring its original patinaed painted finish. Note that with the exception of the stylized, double-scrolled centerpiece, the crown otherwise is wonderfully symmetrical, with floral and foliate motifs executed with remarkably lifelike quality! The original mirror is courtesy of an award-winning silvering company documented on the back, stamp dated 1882, Paris on this wonderful instant heirloom!
