Hand-crafted from French white oak, this handsome cabinet was conceived as the masculine answer to the graceful bonnetiere. Placed near the master's favorite entrance, he would empty his pockets and stash his valuables upon arriving home, perhaps tossing has hat on top. This example features fine Gothic styling with bold rosettes, an intriguing pilaster design on the cornerposts, and four linen fold panels on the sides. Hand-forged iron strap hinges and lockworks complete the look.
