Featuring a clockwork by Francis Belcean dated 1783, this clock has a particularly slender case with tailored Directoire styling that emphasized simplistic architecture and tailored form. The arched cornice follows the lines of the dial face which combines brass and tin with a little embossing for decoration, to create an understated elegance and a stately presence for any room. Crafted by the master artisans of Waereghem in Flanders, its old-growth oak has been given a patinaed painted finish.
