Boasting a stately Louis XIV architecture with rococo bas relief embellishments, this clock is a definitive example of late 19th century craftsmanship from Liege. The "moon phase" movement adds a colorful aspect, and is framed perfectly with the finely molded door and surrounding carved casework with mitered corners and arched crown. Bold molding continues on the base, with deft carving in between.
