Location: Dallas

Bearing the visage of what could be interpreted as the Greek god Bacchus, or perhaps a Renaissance rendition of a man blessed by God, this wall sconce was rendered by an obviously talented sculptor from solid French white oak, and has been allowed to age gracefully and in so doing develop a fine patina that gives it a superlative Old World look.
Circa 1860s.
Measures 12 x 9.5 x 10.5.
