This woodcarving dates to the 18th century, and was undoubtedly a gift to the church or a cleric by a devoted parishoner. Hand-carved from solid walnut, it depicts St. Joseph in a contrite pose. The coloration of his robes still survives although it is somewhat muted from age. Exceptional egg & dart motif in two tiers surrounds the figure in an octagonal framework that was cut & carved from a solid block of wood!
