Antique Louis XIV Commode
2905-93156
(Click the Item No. for an inquiry)34.5 x 47 x 19.5

Location : Plano

Only the venerable oak is strong enough to represent the transition between Louis XIII and his more famous son, Louis XIV. The transition also marked the evolution of style between the Renaissance and the ushering in of the Baroque period. This commode represents both styles, boasting almost life-size lion's paw feet and at the same time artful baroque relief carvings on the drawer facades. Architecturally accented by mitered and carved cornerposts with beveled and contoured top, it is punctuated by cast bronze pulls for an opulent effect.
Circa 1900.
Measures 34.5 x 47 x 19.5.
