This elegant painted pair of antique French fauteuils exhibit elements of the baroque style blended with subtle adornment that reflects four centuries of style development by the master artisans of France. Boasting original paint, graceful arched back is trimmed in spiral ribbon molding highlighted in gold, a motif that continues around the seat apron, down the artfully scrolled arms, and even onto the cabriole-scrolled legs. Acanthus plumes and rosettes, also highlighted in gold, provide additional visual appeal, while the subtle rose tones of the velvet upholstery (in perfect condition) complete the look.
