Four disciplines of master artisans have pooled their talents to produce this marvelous chest of drawers, creating a feast for the eyes that also happens to be quite functional! First the menuisier carefully sculpted the casework, creating a complex curvature that is both pleasing to the eye and the sensibilities. Next, the ebeniste, utlizing exotic imported woods and exquisite indigenous walnut, carefully inlaid intricate marquetry patterns into the facade of the drawers and on each serpentine side. Next, the metalliser fitted cast bronze ormolu mounts that followed the complex contours of the casework. Finally, the macon de pierre cut and beveled a beautifully veined marble slap to fit the contours of the top, together creating the wonderful combination you see before you!
