The attention to detail on this stunning mirror is truly remarkable, with Louis XVI styling evident in the musical instruments, florals and foliates that dominate the crown. Atop the cornerposts one can see the torchere & fascis with floral wreath, and cascading laurel garland wrapping around the framework. Superbly detailed acanthus leaf molding envelopes the remainder of the frame which surrounds the original beveled mirror.
