The tailored lines and restrained ornamentation represented in this vanity are indicative of the neoclassicism of the Louis XVI style. Dexterously crafted utilizing exotic mahogany as the primary medium and inlay of various exotic woods, it features an oval swiveling mirror, two petite glove boxes, a single frieze drawer and refined tapered legs. Feather marquetry adorns the drawer facades, while handsome ormolu fittings throughout provide a luxurious juxtaposition to the rectilinearity of the piece.
