Antique French Napoleon III period ladies' sliper chair was hand-carved from select white French oak, and features a bounty-of-the-earth theme wrapped around the oval seatback and “tied” with a flowing ribbon. Tapered and carved column legs support the lyre-shaped seat. A perfect example of the similarities of the style favored by both Queen Victoria and Napoleon III during the second half of the 19th century.
