Crafted in Paris during the Napoleon III period, this sublime buffet was designed to showcase a proud owner's collections and heirlooms. Rendered from ebonized walnut which comprises the hand-carved embellishments and molded detail, and bird's eye maple veneering which has been stained a mahogany color, such innovations were new to the furniture world when this was produced, setting inroads that last even into today.
