Boasting its original faux-gilded finish atop spelter, this inkwell depicts the impatient Napoleon, apparently waiting for the writer to finish his piece! Using richly veined emerald green marble which was a favorite of the Emperor's as a base, it has been fitted with feet and two inkwells on top exhibiting fine detail. Dished out area across the middle was designed to hold pens.
