Oil Painting on Canvas by Willem Grasle titled " De Kathedraal" depicts the streets of Antwerp with the cathedral spire in the background.
The artist enjoyed quite the career, studying under such greats as Isidore Opsomer, and was himself a teacher at the National School of Visual Arts in Anderlecht, and a co-founder of a school by the same name in Koekelberg.
Before that he was a Student at the Royal Academy of Antwerp and obtained the following prizes:
His exhibits included Bornem, the Castle in Gassbeek, Antwerp (where he was awarded a laureate from the Natinonal Institute of Fine Arts), Berlaar, Niel, Kortyijk, and Sint-Pieters Leeuw to name but a few. His work is displayed in the Museum in Roosendaal in Holland.
