Vintage Framed Oil Painting on Canvas By F. Dewert, dated 1945 of Lavender Field nestled in the rolling hills along the Belgian ~ French border near Waterloo.  Perhaps in a celebration of restored life after the end of World War II in Europe, it survives in an extremely well preserved frame, a condition that the canvas also shares, indicating the family who admired this painting for the last three quarters of a century took excellent care of the work.
