Their lovely cream colored paint having achieved a fine patina over the decades, this elegant pair of fauteuils draw their styling cues from the manner favored by Louis XVI, with Ottoman Empire influence in the contoured oval seatback as an intriguing exception. Spiral ribbon and beaded moldings surround the framework, accentuated by acanthus fronds in various configurations, punctuated by acanthus rosettes in the plinth blocks atop the tapered and fluted legs. Upholstered in high-quality neutral fabric to blend with most any decor!
