Perfect for storing jams, jellies and preserves when it was conceived, this one door buffet, called a confiturier by the French, makes the perfect cabinet for any niche, reading group, sitting area, or even by the bedside! Hand-crafted from solid old grown French white oak, it features a simple country French form of line which includes a subtly scrolled chamfered panel on the door, slightly scrolled legs with escargot swirl at the tip, and simple molding trimming the drawer. Pegged mortise and tenon joinery speak of a bygone era of pride in workmanship. Even the back planks have been chamfered into mortises. Brass pull and hinges complete the quaint look.
