Exquisitely carved from dense, old-growth French white oak, this superb trumeau provides a lavishly adorned framework surrounding a delightful oil on canvas depicting a courtship scene above, with a generously sized hand-beveled mirror below. The asymmetrical shell,floral and foliate cartouche is the primary adornment, other than the painting, but subtle carved accents appear all the way to the very bottom corners.
