(Click the Item No. for an inquiry)42 x 59 x 23.5

Location : Dallas

Featuring an intricate contour, superlative hand-carved detailing, and inlaid panels depicting foliates, this buffet stands apart from all the rest! Originally a trunk hand-crafted in 1688 and commissioned by a person whose initials were WAK, it was later converted into a buffet, probably during the late 18th or early 19th century. Its intriguing and unique features include a boldly molded base with a finely carved drawer tier for balance. Two noblemen are depicted in relief on each side of the doors, with finely chamfered and molded side panels for appeal from any direction. Also intriguing are the four carved feet and hand-chamfered side panels.
Truly a one of a kind!
Circa 1688.
