It would be nearly impossible to find enough rosewood to make another desk like this, crafted from exotic imported rosewood, many times called kingwood for obvious reasons! Graceful cabriole legs connected with double-scrolled stretchers themselves centered with a lavish hand-carved urn finial provide support to the undulating and lavishly carved apron which also sports a spacious drawer crafted from solid mahogany on the inside. The graceful contours make this a definitive study of the Louis XV manner, making it a truly rare and special find!
