Crafted on a grand scale from fine French walnut by talented country artisans, this commode mimicks the Louis XIV style produced in the big city operations of the time, but reflects a more casual effect with its simple adornment. There's nothing rustic about the cast bronze hardware, however, which is of particularly fine quality.
