Salvaged from a synogogue, this rail section was hand-carved from solid French white oak, and features a relief carving of the sacred scrolls of the Torah atop a platform that was carried into the worship service as part of the ceremony. Richly carved, it has been extremely well preserved and is slightly curved for even more visual interest.
Circa 1860s.
