As the minstrel sings his song of love, we are captivated by the sculptor's ability to capture the essence of the travelling singer. His costume is very intricate and indicates he is a gypsy from the Brittany region of France. He is depicted singing and strumming a lute, while seated on a lavishly designed cushioned chair. Spelter with patinaed bronze finish.
Circa 1890.
