Antique wine barrel, fashioned by the vintner's cooper in the same manner as the large wine barrels, was used to sell in larger quantities than small bottles that held less than a liter. Several of these would allow one to throw one heck of a party! Note how the wine has stained the white oak to a lovely patina. This specimen includes a wooden spigot!
