Crafted during the Beaux Artes period in France, this mantel clock will add a romantic touch to any surface or bookcase. Cast in spelter and given a patinaed bronze finish, the cherubs and clock housing reflect Louis XVI tastes, with the fascis et arbalette motif presiding atop the hand-painted enamel dial, and cascading floral and foliate spray leading the eye down to the Carrara marble base, accentuated with cast bronze foliates and feet. In working order, it has a brass bell that peals on the hour.
