Architectural Antiques and Their Timeless Beauty

Antique letter engravingAntique French architecture is inspiring both in the country and with city townhouses.  This antique building with its timeless beauty and century old architectural antiques embodies the best of old world elegance.  The soft pastels of the landscaping mix beautifully with the neoclassical cool colors of this building.

During my travels I enjoy taking photos of inspirational architecture and decorative elements that so often surround me on my journeys.  There is an unmistakable appeal about antique buildings, an authentic ambiance created by history.

Antiques in Style: Living with Art

Antique letter engravingHistory proves that trends come and go, but great art transcends the test of time.  Revered by countless generations and collected in multitudes of museums, these enduring masterpieces so richly celebrate the beauty of each period and so often embody the essence of reflective style. We marvel at creations from the old masters such as Da Vinci, Michelangelo, and Monet.  A beautiful still live, an idyllic landscape, a striking portrait – every painting tells a tale and speaks personally to each of us with stories and chronicles of each historic era.  Currently, it seems that paintings are as popular as ever. I hope that I can entice you to use antique and vintage art as part of your personal home décor.  Art brings a certain degree of excellence to each home’s design with the poetic soul of sparked imagination. Back to the Blog!

Antique Letter Engraving PrintSince quite some time has passed since the last time I submitted prose for these pages, I am dusting off our blog (kind of a late spring cleaning…). Sometimes my plate gets a bit too full. We have been traveling on antique buying trips, unloading containers of antiques furniture and accessories, and there never seems enough time to finish writing about all the exciting things that I love doing.

“Writing is a lonely business” ~ said Sherman Alexie ~ and I have to agree with him!  I typically make plans to write on the plane, or in the car, or in the airport ~ but the best writing comes usually at 2 in the morning.  I love sharing on our blog about our adventures, great stories, and all about antique history.  Facebook just isn’t enough, don’t you think?

Below are some photos from my recent European adventures …

More adventures await!

The classics never go out of style, and each era, country, and even artisan's interpretations create an environment that is always full of surprises.

It is truly a pleasure to bring such timeless style together for every client and follower of my blog. And of course, your input is always welcome!
