Another timeless work of art in Antique Furniture from the master artisans of Normandie. In France, the wedding armoire - ordered by a father when his daughter was born - would hold the young woman's trousseau, which would consist of clothing, lingerie and embroidered linens. When she moved into her new home, her trousseau and armoire would follow. Crafted of solid French oak and hand-carved with flowers and foliage, this 18th Century Country French Armoire du Marriage is truly gorgeous, and comes from the Normandy region (also known as the "Pays de Caux").
Antique French Furniture, Circa 1780s.
