Location: Baton Rouge

Completely crafted by hand during the early part of the 18th century, also known as the Louis XV period, this handsome buffet was rendered from old-growth walnut trees for a natural patinaed beauty that is unmatched! Intriguing hand-carved detail on the drawer facades, interrupted by a pull on the right and a keyguard on the left, leads the eye down to the contoured framework of the door panels below, accented with stylized wildflowers, a motif repeated on the contoured apron below which is supported by scrolled legs tipped with escargots. Barrel hinges and pierced steel ferrures complete the look.
Circa 1730s.
Measures 39H x 55.5W x 23.5D.
