Location: Baton Rouge

This intriguing tea table features gracefully curved legs to support the two tiers, the lower of which boasts a pierce-carved apron, and the upper lavished with foliate detail. Floral swags hang on each corner for added visual appeal. Most interesting of all are the flip-out side panels that are carved on the bottoms so they're still appealing even when not in use. Supports draw out from the sides and the panels flip 180 degrees to provide a bit more serving surface.
Circa 1900-1910.
Measures 30 x 19.5 x 30; 44 wide extended.
