Quickly fashioned from the materials at hand, oak staves leftover from the barrel cooper's production and bound with steamed willow branches, buckets like this were designed to be filled in the rows of ripe grape clusters then carried by two back to a cart for hauling to the crushing vat. Note the old grape stains on the interior, indicating these served their purpose well!
Two available at this writing, sold EACH.
Circa 1880s.
