Newly upholstered in the highest quality fabric with double piped borders, this elegant pair of fauteuils were crafted by talented artisans in the manner of Louis XVI, showing the curved oval seatback that was a result of the king's fascination with the style motifs of the Ottoman Empire. Intricately carved framework depicts an intriguing bellflower & berry molding on top, and a repeating laurel cluster below, both of which blend with the more typical floral, ribbon and acanthus plume carvings in a delightful tribute to the superb artistry of the menuisiers of Paris during the Beaux Artes period. We have even upholstered the back side in the same fabric, making this ideal for the center of the room! Tapered and fluted column legs provide support.
