This very unusual pair of pedestals, each only 20" high, were obviously intended for a specific display purpose, and feature remarkable detail in the cast iron cherub figurines. Solid marble tops and bases indicate that the original purpose involved something of significant weight, or perhaps the makers wished for the pedestals to last for several centuries, or both!
