Discovered in a villa near Florence, this pair of handsome chairs will add an ancient Tuscan flair to any seating group. Crafted from solid Italian walnut, each is a remarkable work of art, sculpted in a variety of Renaissance-inspired motifs from the seatback crown to the apron below. Intended as much for decorative purposes as for actual seating, such chairs usually had fitted cushions for comfort.
