The bergere has always been considered the most comfortable and iconic of all French chair designs, with fully upholstered armrests that envelope you in luxury, but the wingback design added a soft corner to lean one's head, which has remained a popular design to this day. This pair, with frames hand-sculpted from fine French walnut and carved with rococo motifs, features velvet upholstery that is in good condition but can be easily replaced with your favorite fabric.
