Crafted from solid onyx and cast bronze during the Beaux Artes period, this handsome pair of Louis XVI style cassolettes was strictly decorative in nature, and meant for only the finest homes. Modeled after ancient Greek amphora, they feature playful cherubs around the upper band embossed in the bronze, with foliates adorning the remainder of the mounts.
