During the Napoleon III period virtually every style exploited in French history was revived, and this exceptional oil lantern, cast from bronze and brass in the Renaissance fashion, is a perfect example of this phenomenon. Stunning detail, enhanced by a patina acquired from a century and a half of age, abounds from the base to the mantel, which has been replaced with electric lighting by our expert in-house staff, with a hand-sewn silk shade to boot, so that you can enjoy this lovely artifact for another 4 or 5 generations!
