Crafted in the mid-19th century from the venerable French red oak, this imposing armoire will create a visual centerpiece for any room. Bold molded detail begins at the bonnet which predominates the visual effect, accentuated by dentil accents, fluting, and the hint of a compass rose on the mitered cornerpost. Fluting continues down the cornerposts to the bold feet below, and on the way passes by the simple yet stately doors, chamfered and beveled to perfection and accentuated by an oval medallion and complementary molding. Outboard hinges allow the doors to yawn open, allowing one to use this as an entertainment center, if so desired!
