19th Century Carrara Marble & Bronze Holy Water Font was hand-crafted from a base of solid Carrara marble, then fitted with gilded bronze trim all around, including a framework around the stunning bronze relief plaque of the Madonna and Child at center, with St. John the Baptist adoring the Son of God.  The plaque has been given a patinaed bronze finish to contrast the surrounding frame which depicts the sign of the cross appearing at the top of the elaborately detailed gilding surrounding the plaque.  Below appears a bronze Holy Water font with a hinged bronze lid.
