This secretaire/bibliotheque was produced in the early 1900s. It was hand-crafted from dense, old-growth French white oak. All the carving you see was performed by hand. The notch brackets in the corners of the upper tier allow you to adjust the shelf heights to your particular preferences. The slant front opens to reveal a spacious desktop with cubby holes. The three drawers below with carved arbalette facade feature the original cast brass pulls. It's the perfect 21st century miniature office, or student desk, because you have storage, workspace, and display, all in one! Charming!
